Nouns
Nouns are words that represent things, people, places, ideas, emotions, and abstract ideas.
Verbs
Verbs are words that express action or a state of existence. The key to good English is understanding how verbs are chosen and applied.
Adjectives
Adjectives are words that provide information about nouns. Use adjectives to indicate size, color, quality, and number.
Adverbs
Adverbs are words that modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs.
Pronouns
Pronouns are words that refer to or substitute for nouns. It’s essential to learn how to use pronouns properly.
Conjunctions
Conjunctions join words, phrases, and sentences together. This is the glue that holds your ideas together.
Prepositions
Prepositions are small words that show direction, time, location, relationships, and many other things.
Interjections
Interjections are one-word expressions of emotion. They may also take the form of a phrase.
Vocabulary
This vocabulary section is a work in progress. Here students will be able to find basic words in English. Overtime, this page will change to include intermediate and advanced levels of vocabulary.
