What is a pronoun?
A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun. Pronouns are also used to represent general ideas or nonspecific people, things, and places.

Subject pronouns match the main verb:
I am a teacher.
You like to learn English.
He goes to school.

we = you + I
you (plural of you)
they = a group

object pronouns
Object pronouns receive the action of the verb or follow a preposition:
He helped me. (Who received the help? me)
I bought it at the store. (What did I buy? it)
I bought it for them. (For whom did I buy it? them)
Come with us. (object of the preposition “with” — us)
This gift is for you. (object of the preposition “of” — you)
