J Sounds in English

The /j/ sound in English is formed at the front of the mouth. Your upper and lower lips are spread apart. There is a burst of sound that is very similar to the /ch/ sound, except that the /j/ sound is unvoiced. You will know that you are making this sound correctly if your vocal chords move.
